A major goal of the Alliance is to develop conservation topics throughout the state by increasing the number of Hawaii residents, visitors, political leaders and stakeholders who urgently support and participate in the management of our native ecosystems. The Alliance strives to increase conservation literacy throughout Hawaii by facilitating opportunities for knowledge mart and career development, leveraging support for community-led conservation efforts, and supporting activities that engage leaders in Hawaii’s political and merchantry communities. Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference TheYearlyHawaiʻi Conservation Conference brings together researchers, students, resource stewards, cultural practioners, and those interested in mālama ʻāina to share knowledge and whop conservation practice. LearnIncreasinglyIUCN Hawaiʻi Hui The Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance and Foundation worked with several local partners to well-wisher for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature World Conservation Congress to come to Hawaiʻi in 2016. The highly-attended Congress resulted in a series of global commitments. The Alliance and Foundation are commited to supporting the implementation of the commitments in the Hawaiian archipelago and serving as zippy members of the global conservation community. LearnIncreasinglyNāhululeihiwakuipapa – Next Generation Subcommittee The Alliance’s Next Generation Program supports the professional minutiae of the next generation of conservation leaders in Hawaiʻi by providing networking, internship, employment and mentorship opportunities. These opportunities for career minutiae are cultivated and implemented by the Alliance’s Nāhululeihiwakuipapa Subcommitee  made up of Alliance members and partners from government and private organizations in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Region.
